Day 1-3 Arrival in Tanzania – Tarangire National Park
Welcome to Tanzania! After your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met by your driver guide and driven to Tarangire National Park, where you will spend the first 3 nights. Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch for water veins, while migrating herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle and eland huddle at the dwindling waterholes. Since the Tarangire River carries water all year round, you will find the largest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem here, especially towards the end of the dry season. In the next two days you can expect unique safari tours in a private vehicle and together with your driverguide. Experience something special: a trip through the wilderness with a Maasai warrior or a bush breakfast at the foot of a 3,000-year-old baobab tree. Your accommodation for the next three nights is Tarangire Treetops Lodge. Here you will stay in your spacious treehouse room on stilts (approx. 65 sqm). From the veranda you have a breathtaking view over the tops of the mighty baobab and marula trees. Overnight at Tarangire Treetops Lodge
Day 4-6 Serengeti
After three adventurous days in the African wilderness, you will be transferred to Kuro Airfield today to begin your flight to the northern part of the Serengeti. Afterwards, you will travel to your accommodation in a vehicle from the lodge, where you will experience three more eventful nights in harmony with nature. Welcome to the Serengeti, the spot that Ernest Hemingway once dreamed of. The Serengeti is known for its millions of wild wildebeest – all driven by the same ancient rhythm of the relentless cycle of life. Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, the Serengeti, is famous for the annual migration season, when six million hooves stomp across the open plains. Your ranger will go on exciting game drives together with you and other guests every day. You will stay at the luxurious Ole Serai Luxury Camp Turner Springs. The camp is our insider tip: Due to its wonderful location in the heart of the Serengeti, it offers its guests fantastic wildlife viewing all year round, often even directly in the camp itself. Overnight at Ole Serai Luxury Camp.
Day 7-13 Zanzibar
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the unique wildlife of the Serengeti. On the way to the Seronera airfield, you can observe the fascinating and unique natural spectacles of the Serengeti one last time. Look forward to a week’s beach holiday on the enchanting spice island of Zanzibar with its endless white beaches! The island will fascinate you: on the street you will be offered refreshing sugar cane juice with lime and ginger, the half-veiled Zanzibari women sit laughing and chatting on stone benches in front of their houses, old Zanzibari playing the local board game “Bao” – all this is Stone Town. A unique city that will captivate you and is definitely worth a visit. You will spend the next seven nights at the luxurious resort Diamonds La Gemma dell’Est, which is located on the northwest coast of the magical island of Zanzibar. The hotel is known for its remarkable service. And you can also indulge in culinary delights here – various restaurants invite you to take a journey through different cuisines. Overnight at Diamonds La Gemma dell’Est.
