Day 1 Karibu Africa – Welcome to Tanzania
Karibu! Welcome to Tanzania. After your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be welcomed by your private, English-speaking driver guide and you will start directly to the first highlight of your trip, the Tarangire National Park. On the way to your accommodation, you can take a look at the breathtaking landscape. Tarangire National Park is located between Dodoma and Arusha, about 120 km from Tanzania’s capital. The natural environment and wildlife of this region will amaze you. Depending on the time of arrival, you can go stalking with your driver guide in the afternoon.
Day 2 Tarangire National Park
You’ve been waiting for it for a long time, now it’s finally starting: your safari time in the midst of lions, elephants and co. During your morning and afternoon game drives in your own vehicle with your guide, you will have the opportunity to explore the diverse vegetation zones of Tarangire National Park. Huge herds of elephants gather by the river to drink, while migrating herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, cow and eland huddle at the dwindling waterholes. Surrounded by gigantic acacia trees, the Sanctuary Swala Camp with its twelve luxurious pavilions is located in the animal-rich Tarangire National Park. The shade of the acacia trees is a great place to relax – watch the waterhole take a shower, take a shower in the open air or relax in the infinity pool. Safari in style is the motto here!
3: Animal diversity in Lake Manyara National Park
After a final morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, you will continue towards Lake Manyara National Park. In terms of area, it cannot keep up with its neighbours, but it easily competes with them in terms of botanical diversity and shines with a wide variety of habitats and animal abundance in the smallest of spaces. The alkali lake and surrounding floodplains, as well as acacia forests, are home to many wildlife such as hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, warthogs, and giraffes. With a bit of luck, you can also spot the tree-climbing lions. In the afternoon you will reach your wonderfully located accommodation for the next two nights in the Ngorongoro/Karatu region. The Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge is located in the middle of the Tanzanian jungle and surrounded by the volcanic landscape of the Ngorongoro area. Each of the 20 luxurious and very generously designed suites with approx. 130 sqm offers a spacious viewing terrace, from which you have a breathtaking panoramic view of the wonderful nature. After a long day of safari, you can find the perfect relaxation for your body and mind at the Earth & Rain Spa and your soul will breathe a sigh of relief.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
With your driverguide you will set off early in the morning after an early breakfast to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, also known as “Africa’s Garden of Eden”. It’s hard to believe that the now extinct and collapsed volcano was still active many millions of years ago. So many wild animals cavort here! Be impressed by the large herds of zebra and wildebeest grazing peacefully inside, as well as the sun-stamped lions and endangered black rhinos.
Day 5 World-famous Serengeti
Your day starts today with a hearty breakfast. Afterwards, your journey continues to the Serengeti National Park. Keep your eyes and ears open, because here in Tanzania there are always exciting sceneries on the road. Together with your private driverguide, keep an eye out for the first time for the large herds of wildebeest that migrate through this area every year in search of water (detailed information on request), but also for lions, elephants and zebras. After an eventful day in the Serengeti Pioneer Camp, you will return to your high-quality luxury lodge, the Serengeti Pioneer Camp. The small and fine camp (it has a total of 12 safari tents) is located in the central south of the Serengeti and impresses with a unique view of the Moru Kopjes and the wide savannah landscape. Your luxurious tented accommodation is furnished in the style of the 30s. Feel transported back to the time of conquerors and explorers when you stay at Serengeti Pioneer Camp. Fancy a dinner under the twinkling starry sky listening to the sounds of the bush? A unique experience!
Day 6-7 Out and about in the realm of wild animals
You will dedicate these two days completely to exciting animal observations together with your driver guide. Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, the Serengeti, is famous for its annual migration season. At this time, six million hooves stomp across the open plains and more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson gazelles join the wildebeest’s migration for fresh grazing grounds. But even outside the migration season, the Serengeti undoubtedly offers the most impressive animal spectacle in Africa: large herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephants and giraffes, as well as thousands and thousands of eland, topaz, hartebeest, impalas and Grant gazelles. Let this unique nature and the variety of animals work their magic on you during your game drives.
Day 8 Flight to Zanzibar
You will say goodbye to your driver guide today, because a small propeller plane will take you to Zanzibar today (stopovers possible). Look forward to the next few days of beach holidays on the enchanting spice island of Zanzibar! The island will fascinate you! You will be met at the airport in Zanzibar City and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Enjoy the beach paradise of Zanzibar.
Day 9-13 Pure relaxation in Zanzibar
Enjoy the relaxed beach atmosphere and island life of Zanzibar over the next few days. Do what you like. Zuri Zansibar offers relaxation among extensive tropical gardens and the ocean. Modern and local elements reflect the unique atmosphere of the island. Need to cool off? The hotel’s beach is located directly on a large lagoon and thus offers optimal conditions for swimming regardless of the tides.
Day 14 Departure from Tanzania
Her time out from everyday life is coming to an end. Even if your holiday is over soon – the precious memories, beautiful photos and exciting stories from your trip will accompany you forever. Look forward to sharing your experiences away from home with your friends and family back home. Depending on your departure, you will be taken to the airport of Zanzibar and say goodbye to the beach paradise towards home.
